Kōmyō is a word from Buddhist Wisdom that means enlightenment (spiritually or physically). The word Kōmyō has several different interpretations. It alludes to a particular kind of light, or 'glow,' which can be observed in a person for whom the mists of spiritual ignorance have vanished. It also alludes to the aspect of one's Buddha Nature that manifests both spiritually and physically and serves as the foundation for this manifestation. Additionally, it relates to how one's innately intelligent judgement functions.
